Étang de la Bonde (Cabrières-d’Aigues) – ≈ 7 km (10 min)
A true must-see in the South Luberon, Étang de la Bonde is the closest swimming spot to the campsite. With its sandy beach, shaded areas and pleasant waters, it is the perfect destination for a family day out or a relaxing afternoon with friends. Parking is charged between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm: €6 per day or €2 for stays under 2 hours. Dogs are welcome and are also allowed to swim.
Source du Mirail (La Motte-d’Aigues) – ≈ 11 km (19 min + short walk)<br></strong> Hidden away in a shady valley, this natural spring with its cool, crystal-clear water can be reached after a pleasant **2 km walk (one way)**. A wonderful escape for anyone looking to enjoy unspoilt nature.
Canoeing & Kayaking (Lauris) – ≈ 13 km (17 min) For adventure lovers, **Au Fiéu de l’Aigo** offers canoe and kayak rentals to explore the River Durance while discovering its beautiful landscapes and abundant birdlife. Val de Durance Leisure Lake (Cadenet) – ≈ 17 km (17 min) This leisure lake features a sandy beach, supervised swimming during the summer season and plenty of activities for both children and adults. Admission costs **€6 per adult** and **€4 per child (aged 4 to 10)**. Open from **1 July to 31 August**. Dogs are not permitted.
Lac de Peyrolles – ≈ 24 km (25 min) A favourite with families, this lake offers a large beach, leisure areas and a variety of water sports. Parking costs approximately **€4** between **July and August**, from **9:00 am to 6:00 pm**. Dogs are not allowed on the site.
Plan d’eau de la Riaille (Apt) – ≈ 32 km (35 min) Located on the outskirts of Apt, this leisure lake is perfect for cooling off, with a pleasant beach and natural surroundings. For those seeking more excitement, **Aquabase** offers a range of water activities. Dogs are not permitted during **July and August**.
Lac des Vannades (Manosque) – ≈ 35 km (35 min) A spacious leisure area offering swimming, children’s playgrounds, walking paths and a wide range of summer activities. Dogs are welcome throughout the site when accompanied by their owners but are not allowed in the swimming area.

Lac des Buissonnades (Oraison) – ≈ 55 km (70 min) Enjoy a pleasant swimming area with a supervised beach during the summer months. The site also offers pedal boats, paddleboards, an inflatable water park (Aquagame), picnic areas and children’s playgrounds, making it an excellent destination for a fun day out with family or friends. Dogs are not allowed around the swimming lake but are permitted on a lead around the fishing lake.
Wave Island Water Park (Monteux) – ≈ 60 km (55 min) The largest water park in Provence offers **33 attractions** for all ages, including thrilling water slides, a lazy river, wave pools, dedicated children’s areas and even two artificial waves for surfing and bodyboarding. Restaurants, shaded areas and sun loungers make it easy to spend a full day relaxing with family or friends.
Fancy a day by the sea? – ≈ 80 km (1 hr 15 min) Spend the day on the Mediterranean coast and return to the peace and quiet of **Camping Le Moulin à Vent** in the evening. Choose from the beaches of **Carry-le-Rouet**, the spectacular **Calanques of Cassis**, **La Couronne Beach** near Marseille, or the vast unspoilt beaches of the **Camargue** (around **1 hr 30 min** away).
Lake Sainte-Croix (Verdon Gorges) – ≈ 100 km (2 hrs) For a memorable day trip, discover the turquoise waters of **Lake Sainte-Croix**, the gateway to the spectacular **Verdon Gorges**.
