Located 2 km from the campsite Le Moulin Vent, in the South Luberon in the department of Vaucluse, Cucuron is part of the community of municipalities COTELUB and the Regional Natural Park of Luberon. It is also a stone’s throw from the Bouches-du-Rhône department. With 300 days of sunshine a year, just 17 minutes by car from Pertuis (12.6 kilometres), 16 km from La Roque d’Anthéron and its international piano festival, 40 minutes from Aix-en-Provence (35.4 kilometres) and 1 hour from Marseille (65.5 kilometres), Cucuron is the ideal place to stay and explore the Luberon. The inhabitants of Cucuron are called “cucuronnais”. Discover its old village, which was chosen as a setting for the films: “Le Hussard sur le Toit” in 1994 and “Une Grande Année” in 2005.

Traditional festival: Saturday, May 27, as every year, Cucuron resurrects the tradition of “May of Saint Tulle”. The origins of this festival and the way it is held today are both pagan and religious, and are the result of a vow made by the villagers during the great plague of 1720.

The road of castles and gardens of Provence

The owners of six castles located in the Luberon and the north of the Pays d’Aix have launched the “Route des Châteaux et des Jardins de Provence”. Initially brought together by a beautiful friendship, the owners of these unique sites wished to share their love of heritage and Provence by creating a “thematic route” filled with both architectural and historical discoveries.

Each castle has its own atmosphere due to its history and geographical location. A unique discovery at each stop.
